This means that the employer may well reject your application due to incorrect specifications for one (or even more) employers without you having to waste any further time or effort in sending another application. Of course, if you're really determined and want to get your foot in the door then you'll still probably need to send a 'traditional' or 'business-like' type of cover letter. However, what you don't need to do is send one page to every employer you know!
